A place is just a place, but we ascribe different, often opposing meanings to it. This work juxtaposes an image of the sky with two texts in apparent contradiction, inviting viewers to consider the tensions that occur between place and person when we inhabit a space that we may or may not want to be in. Perhaps the only difference between desire and discomfort is an inflection in the mind.
Visitors are invited to take a copy of the print, and install it in a space that they feel relates best to the print. Then, post it on Instagram and hashtag it #anynowhereelse.
